DeuterDeuter was founded in 1898 by Hans Deuter. He received his first large order from the Bavarian Post Office for all of their postal bags. The Deuter company focused on backpacks, tents, leather goods, and wagon covers. The company excelled in the outdoor market, outfitting some of the earliest trips into the Himalayas during the 1930s. Even in the early 20's of the last century, Deuter furnished many famous German expeditions all over the world with backpacks, carry bags, tarpaulins and tents. Deuter became the largest producer of backpacks in Germany by 1971. In 1985, Deuter pushed the backpack concept to the next modern level of technology, when they received a patent on, and released, their 'Original' backpack; the first pack with the advanced Aircomfort Back System. The Aircomfort Back System Would Revolutionize Ventilation And Comfort In The Pack Market. Deuter's advancements in product development would give birth to a series of back systems for different types of pack applications. These systems focus on increasing ventilation and thus extending user performance and comfort. |
