Mike joined Onward & Outward in summer 07 after completing a BSc in Outdoor Studies at the former Charlotte Mason College in Ambleside.
Mike has had a keen interest in the outdoors since childhood, beginning with walks in the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Snowdonia with his grandparents. During his teens Mike developed an interest in rock climbing which has taken him to, among other places, damp quarries in Lancashire, sunny sport climbs in Majorca and the french alps, and to freezing belays in the Scottish highlands.
