The cut of the Karakorum Jacket is designed for optimum protection, giving you all the weatherproofing you need in the harshest UK conditions. Its Stealth Mountain hood is fully and easily adjustable, helmet compatible with laminated and wired visor. The two-way moulded centre front zip has full size double storm flaps, making the Karakorum Jacket as weatherproof as possible. The two large external pockets can be accessed even when wearing a harness or rucksack and the external map pocket will easily accommodate a laminated OS map. Just remember that with all jackets, "waterproof pockets" means that any water that gets into the pocket won't get through to your insulating layers, not that your phone will be safe in the map pocket while the rain is coming at you horizontally. Fortunately, Mountain Equipment's design team have thought of that, and have provided a zipped mesh pocket safely protected on the inner surface of the jacket, to keep any sensitive gadgets safe from the elements.

The Karakorum Jacket also features underam pit zips for instant ventilation, a zip-out snow skirt, adjustable cuffs and split tether drawcord hem.
